3rd Nov 2009

Today's RT training was very tough. My legs were shaking when i was going back home.

Something miraclous happened. As i was walking from the interchange to a bus-stop to take 13 to go home, i spotted the bus at the traffic light waiting for the red-light to pass. The bus-stop was slightly beyond next traffic light which was at least 200 metres away.

Sian... waiting for the next bus will take at least half an hour, but a voice told me to run to the next bus-stop. I started running despite my aching leg muscules. It was a slow painful jog. Many time I tot to just give up and wait for the next bus, but the voice "spoke" to me again, keep running, dont look back, I'll take care of the rest. My heart keep falling as some car sped pass, that must mean the traffic light had already turned green.

Keep running and leave the rest to me, the voice told me over and over again. I continue running without looking back even once. finally I reached the bus-stop, I turned back to see the bus stopping at the traffic light just before the bus-stop.

Dear Lord, I thank you for helping me in everything I do. In showing me a small example of your helping me, I know that even in my work, no matter how much i feel helpless, aimless, negative and all the bad things, I know that you are always there, always helping me, always caring for me.

Dear Lord, I know what I'm not worth, but by your grace, I shall recieve All that I need, All that I want. I thank you, Lord, for all you have given me and will give me.

Amen!

Shama- Understanding.

The first task that Solomon was given was to judge a case between 2 harlots. He was tested if he will be willing to listen and deal with ppl of all levels. To treat every one of every level with dignity and respect.

1 Kings 4: Solomon's Officials and Governors
1 So King Solomon ruled over all Israel. 2 And these were his chief officials: Azariah son of Zadok—the priest;
3 Elihoreph and Ahijah, sons of Shisha—secretaries; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud-recorder;
4 Benaiah son of Jehoiada—commander in chief; Zadok and Abiathar-priests;
5 Azariah son of Nathan—in charge of the district officers; Zabud son of Nathan—a priest and personal adviser to the king;
6 Ahishar—in charge of the palace; Adoniram son of Abda—in charge of forced labor.

In multitude of concillers, there is safety.

4th Oct 2009

Today's service is the third on Wisdom by Paster Prince.
He informed us that in future, the third and fourth service will be videos of the first and second service.
Some ppl feel that being in the same room as the Paster in flesh, will enable you to better anointing. Hmmmm... then how does the ppl who recieve anointing when they listened to Paster Prince's sermons through CDs or podcast? the holy spirit is always with us. the anointing comes from our belief in God and the holy spirit.

Pastor Prince said that this would be a year of transition. The countries that were once rich, will not be so rich. The countries that was poor will grow in wealth. for me, it is indeed a year of transition. Things have really been changing for me.

Proverbs 3

13Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

14For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

15She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

16Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

17Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

18She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

1 Kings 3

7And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.

8And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.

9Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

10And the speech pleased the LORD, that Solomon had asked this thing.

11And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;

12Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

13And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

Solomon asked for wisdom and was made into the richest man ever. He had assets of 200 billions. David left him 25 billions, he turned it into 10 times more.

Even we have best intelligence, we need wisdom to help us make the "right" decision. Our spirit holds all the right answers, answers that came from God, but some times, our mind thinks too much on it and we chose to make the wrong decision. the spirit is faster than the mind.

All good things that blesses man kind are from God. sometimes, we just get struck by a revelation, an idea or even a dream. please write it down. the bible is a compilation of sayings and ideas from God.

we need both Binah (means Understanding) and Chakam(means wise, Chokhmah means Wisdom) in order to make the right decision when the right opportunity comes, to understand/discern the right decision to make.

All babies who died before their time are in heaven. and the next baby who was born will recieve 7-fold what the still-born was suppose to recieve.

David had a son who died, and the next son was Solomon, who became the richest man ever.

13th Sep 2009

Went to serve at Ritz Carlton. this will be a last session of training and will be given a t-shirt with the logistic ministry next week. hmmm... the timing might clash with my cousin's chalet. so maybe i wont be attending the photo session.

Attended the service with Ranna. today's service is a very powerful one.

Paster Prince shared one of his stories with us. one day when they were driving past a greeen field in the country side. the field was so green that Pastor Prince cant resist and requested to stop the car so that he can run in the field. and he did.
as he was running towards the sheeps, he realised that he was surrounded by dried up poo. maybe the field wasso green due to it being so well fertilized.
Moral of the story? you may see a very green field, but you'll never know what kind of shit does it holds.

the sermon was about Solomon who was granted wisdom beyond compare (yup, its the same Solomon who had a grimore, the key of Solomon, to bind demons to your control), but he turned away from God, resulting in his lack of satisfaction in whatever he do. though everything he does came with great successs, he had no satisfaction.

Believe in God, Love God, Trust God. all your needs will be taken care of by him.

6th Sep 2006

Went to serve in the morning at 6am. thanks to the grace of god, i'm able to get up and going on time as i had only reached home ard 3.30 am.

was actually planning to skip service and head home as i was stone-ing. but it rained, so i stayed.

when i was waiting for service to start, the person who came to sit beside me was someone i got to know from SGTCC. hahaha its always nice to see someone you know. 有朋自远方来,不亦乐乎。

Was glad that i stayed for service though there are a few moments i was completely out.

the preacher was Pastor Joshua. his theme today was on diet. a very funny and lively pastor.

strange... i know what he talked about, but dont know how to put it into words... must have been too stoned...

30th August 2009

Today is twice as blessed for me today.

On my way to the first service, Paster Prince took the same lift as me. i said morning to him. he laughed, "made it in time ya?"

Then when i was waiting for my serving time at the chinese ministry, Pastor Mark shook my hand on his way out of the hall.

Law is about who Man is, Grace is about who God is.

23th August 2009

Went early in the morning to serve in the Logistic Ministry.

Was very happy that Irin came over to join me for service. was even happier that my prayers were answered that it will be a good sermon.

why is it a good sermon? Paster Prince opened the sermon with the mentioning of some christians not attending the funeral of thier parents becos the funeral was of a different religion. also on the issue that some christians dont give or provide for thier parents. Paster Prince calls such christians perverted. it's not in the teachings of christ.

Some jokes that were told.
When Eve ask Adam, "Do you love me?" Adam replied "Who else?".

Every night after Adam falls asleep, Eve will be counting his ribs.

16th August 2009

Went for Second service today. Ranna came to join me. Left early to serve in the Logistic ministry.

When you drive a car at very very high speed, are you sinning? Not if you are not breaking any law that says you shouldnt be drive that fast.
The strength of Sin lies in Law, without Law, we cant sin.

9th Aug 2009

Went early this morning to serve God. heehee though yesterday was a very tiring day. i'm still able to wake up on time and arrive at Suntec on time.

Think currently is just training on how to do certain stuff. this week i was taught how to set up the stands for mic, music instruments and music scores. after that, we were given breakfast as well as reimbursement for the taxi fare this morning.

Romans 7
1Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

4Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God

When God requires us to do anything, he will first provide us the strength and material so that we may do so. But God's Law is unbreakable and unyielding. How can the Word of God, the very Word that create the Universe, be weak and flexible?

So how will we break free from the Law in order to go to the Grace of God? When we are married, only when the husband dies, then the wife can be free from the law that bounds her to him. But God's Word cannot die, it will not bend, it is unbreakable.

God provides for our death, through the death of Jesus.

Sandals -
In the book of Ruth, there was a procedure where the closer relative gave up his right to marry Ruth. Now in earlier times in Israel, for the redemption and transfer of property to become final, one party took off his sandal and gave it to the other. This was the method of legalizing transactions in Israel.

With his sandals on, Law has the right to step all over his wife. by removing it, he gave up his right.

When Moses approached God, he was made to take off his sandal as he has no right to be standing.

When the Prodigal son returned, his father put sandals on him.

God has put sandals on me, so that i may trample all over life. Amen!

2nd Aug 2009

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

The main gist of this week's service. When we are under Grace, sin shall not be upon us. all the sin will be upon us no more. Amen. so can we go out and sin all that we wan?

Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Though while we are under Grace, sin will not have hold on us, BUT we have the choice to put ourselves in Sin or in Grace.

Amen!

Psalms 34:6-8
This poor man called, and the LORD heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers them.
Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Fear the LORD, you his saints,
for those who fear him lack nothing.

John 6:48-58
I am the bread of life. Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"

Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."

Today's Pastor is Pastor Judah Smith from Seattle. He's a very funny Pastor and his sermon was lively and funny. i think he's the one that Pastor Prince once mentioned asking for tetaraid and Pastor Prince got very confused. later he figured it out. tetaraid = Teh Tarik.

When you see a steak being served to you, how does it look to you? does it look good? If you think about it in another sense, its a chunk of flesh on your plate, though with garnishing and veggies on the side. Its someone's daddy or mummy or baby, you know? but it still look good to you rite? why is that so? does it look good to you because you have tasted it and know it taste good. You need to taste before you know if something is good or not.

Pastor Judah told us about his story with the cheese factory. Before going to the cheese factory, he's only interested in American cheese. you know whats american cheese? it comes in those plastic wrap thingy, and you can put it there for days and it will still be soft and tender. Yes its chemical. its called kraft, short for witchcraft. hahaha
At the end of the 2-hour tour, which they found boring and tedious, they were given the chance to sample the cheese. The factory manager had to keep pushing the cheese to them like a drug dealer, and when Pastor Judah finally tried, all hell or heaven broke loose. he tried all the cheese available, he found the 2 hour tour had been most informative, he wonder where had he been all time without cheese.

Taste and see.
Amen.

Matthew 7:9-11
"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Romans 12:20
Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.

Today's Sermon is on the theme of God's Love. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

If that is the case, what is there that we want that God will no give to us? But why are there so many ppl who are not healed?

Matthew 21:21
Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done.

It is our doubt that prevents us from recieving the healing that we desire.

Lets say a rich man has a very loyal obedient dog which will do anything for him, and a rebellious daugther who does nothing but create probs. when the rich man is going to die, who will inherit his estate? the dog? no~ the daughter. why? cos no matter how bad or rebellious she is, she is the heir to his estate.

Just as we are heirs to God's estate. There is nothing that we want that God wont give. just as Pastor Daniel Chong had said just before communion, our heavenly daddy had BANKRUPTED heaven many times just to give us what we want.

Why do we still doubt that God will not give us what we wan? because, sometimes, we turn to believe in the Law rather than Grace. when you believe in Law, you will have doubt in your heart. hence, it hinders you from recieve what is your inheritance.

Lets say you have a craving for chocolate, but you're on a diet. what do you do? believe in grace. believe that God will never deny what you wish to have. so buy a package of chocolate and have a taste to sate your craving and you're done with your craving after a little taste. throw away the rest. BUT Law comes in. since young, the law of not wasting food had been drilled into us, so in the end, we finished the entire packet. no waste = no waist. your waist will be gone too.

Healing is a gift. its ours to recieve. the reason why its a gift is that we dont have to pay for it. ;p

Amen.

21th June 2009

Didnt go to church this weekend as i had some stuff to finish up.
at the same time, tot that the preacher wasnt Pastor Prince.

14th June 2009

Today's service is very good for me. it seems to target all that's going through my mind.

Thank God for every little thing. When we are slightly sick, there's a tendency to pray to God for it, worse blame God for it. But do we thank God for the days that we are not sick? rarely. so, make the effort. thank for everything he has given us.

But why are we sick? did God create sickness? no. did god create traffic jams? no. so why are there such things to harm us? God loves to see us grow strong and big. we are pre-ordinated to be more in image of jesus. think of sickness and traffic jams as means of putting us through the mill. God had not created such things as he will never seek to harm us. but he will make use of everything, including things that harm us, to help us. surely, anyone had heard of incidents when a slight delay resulted in more fortune that misfortune.

This reminds me of an old chinese story of Sai Wong. Sai Wong was a person who rear horses. one day, one of his horse ran away. friends comforted him, but he say we'll see how it goes. then his horse returned with a whole herd of wild horses. his friends congrat him, but he say we'll see how it goes. when his son went to ride one of the wild horses, it threw him off and broke his leg. friends comforted him, but he say we'll see how it goes. there was a conscript for young men into war. due to the broken leg, the son could not be conscripted. You see? due the the loss of one horse, SaiWong managed to save his son. what more can you say other than this is a miracle of God?

Sometimes, we were put through alot of trials. Paster Mark went through alot before he became a pastor. due to his experiences, there are believer who called up only wanting to talk to him. why? because he has gone through what they are going through. Paster Mark is at the same time familiar with the chinese customs.

Genesis 45:7
But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

Romans 5:1-5
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a]have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but we[c] also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Amen.

7th June 2009

Didnt go to church today as family will be going over for one of my new nephew's full moon party.

Monday, June 1, 2009

31th May 2009

Pastor Prince is away on holiday with his family.
So Pastor Liam was standing in for the service.

The devil will attack us in a 3S formula.

Self-Reliance, Self-Conscious, Self-Pity.

Firstly, we'll be overloaded with work causing us to lose sight of God and start turning to ourself to get things done: self-reliance.
Then when we are over-worked, we tend to make mistakes and become more aware and fearful of ppl spotting our mistakes: self-conscious.
When we finally give up trying, we start to feel sorry and miserable for ourself: self-pity

When we are looking inwards to ourselves, we forget to look to God and recieve his gift and blessings.

Stress is nothing more than Fear under another disguise in this new era. just a constant sense of fear and worry about anything. it removes the sense that we are under grace.

The devil is unable to remove God's grace, but he is able to make us feel as though, we are not under God's grace and when that happens, we turn from God's grace on our own record.

That does means that we are not under God's grace, but we try even harder to make things work, not letting God help us.

I will not give in to Stress, I will not give in to Fear.
I am blessed, I am in God's grace, I am the righteousness of God.
Amen!

A video was shown today.

it was the message from 27th april 2003, i think.

the one about sars attack.

Pastor Prince once said that history will repeat itself. what has happened will come to past, and what has past had happened? not very clear on the actual words.

anyway, the same message applies and is very applicable in this current time.

Believe in God, have faith in God. For by his stripes, we are healed. no dieases will ever touch us.

26th April 2009

Today there was a guest preacher from Texas.

The base message he was preaching about was love.

Love does not promote itself, walk in love, let love be your promoter.
Love thy neighbour.

There was alot in his message, you can feel that he's a man that has strong loving power.

Only with love, you can forgive.
only with love, faith will come.
only with love, you can achieve the impossible.

12th Apr 2009

Didnt go to church as i went for tomb cleaning.

As this entry is entered on the 16th apr, some things might sound abit confusing.
Yesterday, on 15th, i went over to the Rock to pay my first tithe.

as i'm blogging now, i'm actually watching the passion of christ. i had no idea how badly Jesus was abused before he went up to the cross. i think when i go heaven, i'll go see Jesus and say thanks to him in person.

Some things happened during the tomb sweeping.

I was offering joss-sticks while Aunt1 and seline was at the side watching, insisting on not touching joss stick.
seline (uncle7's daughter, now aunt 1's daughter) asked me "are you christian? why you holding joss sticks?"
i replied "i'm christian, but this is custom. if this is religion, you shouldnt even be here."
aunt 1 overheard what i said and kept quiet.

Later on, Aunt 1 came over to talk to me, asking how's my journey into christianity?
"Same." i replied.
"Dont you find yourself more at peace? your heart more quiet?"
"same. all along i walk with god."
Aunt1 looked surprised.

Ranna happened to have witness the whole thing at the side. -_-

I just recently remember when was it that i told ranna about jesus. it was when i was going to join Boy's Brigate in primary school. i studied abit of bible there.

Ranna told me that Aunt2 accepted christ in NCC but left and went to her current church. I think how one accept christ and interprets the gospel will depend alot of the parent. i think i said before that its because of my father that i believe in grace. and i think in turn, its because of my grandfather that both my aunts believed in law. dont get me wrong, my grandfather was a good man. strict but good.

8th Mar 2009

Today's sermon was very interesting and funny with a very important message being. the effect of being too self-concious.

As we are imperfect, looking at ourselves, we become depress and unhappy at our own imperfection. we cant show ourselves to GOD in this way. which is why we will need to break the habit of looking at ourselves. take away the H and we still got abit; take away A and we still got bit; take away b and we still got it; so the only way to break free from i is through the cross 'T'.

Only when we look away from ourselves and look to Jesus Christ, then we will be perfect. because he is, so will we be.

Cos we are christ(ian), without christ, I Am Nothing.

22th Feb 2009

Service this sunday was very funny. the sermon was more on believing and trusting in the arrangements that God made. to believe in the arrangement for your perfect spouse, your ideal work. God is the best paymaster and he will reward you with thirty-folds, sixty-folds and hundred-folds of your harvest.
how to identify which is an arrangement god made? you'll feel it in your heart.
Many a times, when i'm choosing which way to go or when i go out to turn gachapons, i get this feeling i should be rushing somewhere. and when i follow this hunch, i usually get what i wanted, or catch the bus at the excat time.
I believe that God loves us, and in that, he wish to see us enjoys ourselves as much as we can.
but somehow, sometimes, there must always be a balance.
God wants us well-fed, but he wish us not to over-gorged ourselves and suffer.
God wants us well-rest, but he wish us not to sleep til we wake up with a headache like a hang-over.
Like a loving parent, He must stop us before we over do something. Trust in God's ways. Let peace and enjoyment enter your life. Amen

15th Feb 2009

Was late for service this morning. so end up sitting on the floor in the auditorium.
Today's preaching is more on sowning of seeds. and there were some testimonial of other member's harvest.

In my wallet, there is a $50 note which i folded and kept from sight. I believe that as long as i have that fifty with me, more money will come to me. sort of like a seed. and for some reason, i was able to resist spending that fifty for the past few days. 3 of the toys shops were having sale of 30% to 60%. i was surprised that i was able to resist going, as if keeping the money for something important

When the time came to sown the seed, i took out the fifty and sown it. somehow after that, i feel sort of lightened. not in term of money, but sort of like relieving a burden. hahaha maybe God's seed is very heavy. Amen.

8th Feb 2009

Service this morning was funny.

When pastor prince gave thanks for his "big mouth" the entire church burst into laughter.

basically the sermons today is more on the sowing of seeds in the time of famine and reaping many folds with the grace of god.
there are many parts i dont understand, like how come we are the generation of benjamin, but i guess more understanding will come when i understand or read the bible more.

Seagull passed me a magazine on the olive oil. bought a small bottle of olive oil and tried make it into anointing oil. i praying with my right hand over the oil and my left hand holding the magazine. strangely, as i recited the prayer, i feel some thing from my right hand flowing towards the oil. is it suppose to feel that way?

Anyway, i anointed myself, praying for a peaceful sleep as i was troubled by dreams the pass few nights. the next moment i knew after i laid down, i woke at sound of my alarm, completely rested and refreshed. guess the oil worked. Amen. thank you, God.

About Taoism and Buddhism

as i studied more into Taosim and Buddhism, i realised one thing. in both religion, there are no "Gods". firstly, you'll need to think of the word god as a term coined by Ang Mo.

In Taoism, there are 神 and there are 仙. so whats the difference between the two? Shen are ppl who died and was coronated as 神. 仙 are ppl who obtained immortality. the major diffence will be that 神 will leave a corpse between while 仙 move on with its physical body as well.

In Buddhism, 佛 finally understood the workings of the universe and moved beyond reincarnation. 菩萨 are those that can become 佛, but chose not to as they cant move beyond thier compassion for ppl. 罗汉 are those who reached a level where they can are beyond the reincarntion cycle, but not yet to the level of buddha.

In both religion, the creator of the universe and everything are not ard anymore.
regardless of things are existing or not. whether they are frictional or not. it dont really matter. when it comes to religion, its always a sensitive subject. using F-word to describe it is a absolute no-no. using the f-word for anything, was always a no-no. if you use it infront of your kids, they will use it back to you.

look at it in this sense, you wear an ugly shirt out and your friend commented that its ugly. whether you feel if it's true or not, dont really matter. it's gonna hurt. the closer you feel your friend is, the more it will hurt.

1st Feb 2009 - i wish not to worship a jealous god.

Aunt1 threw a spock into God's wheel.

Thanks to my Aunt1's efforts, my mom was abit disturbed by my visits to the church. so today i have to accompany my parents to go pray to tai sui as well as purchase stuff for praying to tian gong on monday night.

Now dont tell me that i cant pray to tian gong, to me, its a tradition. just like recieving red packets on chinese new year. If you wish to switch over to another religion throughly, please abandon your own roots and culture as well.

In praying to our ancestors, an act from Confucianism, isnt it a higher form of paying respects to our parents?

Think with your heart. is it rite to stop paying respects to your parents after they pass on? does that sits well with you? it dont with me. it just isnt rite. it isnt comfortable at all.

In accordance to what pastor liam had said, God sees everything in every part of our life. from the beginning to the end, and he plans for us accordingly. turns out that my sis is performing service this sunday, so she'll be getting a cd for this week's sermons and she'll be passing it to me after she's done. Our God is good. Amen!

24th Jan 2009

Yesterday, we attended a historitic event. for the first time in the history of new creation church, there will be no sunday service, and its held on friday instead. there was a play as well.

For some reason, somehow or other, i managed to get Ray and Boon to attend the service with me. hahaha

well... they managed to sit through the first half with me, listened to the songs, watched the play. then when paster mark started preaching, i know, that Ray wont be able to stay long liao.

The way Pastor Mark broke into his sermon wasnt very good. he talked about when he need to pray to tai shui every year, as if paying protection money. certain zodiac ppl will cheong tai shui every year, but now we never cheong jesus.

true enough, half way through, Ray and boon left. its could be due to the sermon, or the poor air-conditioning, or the late hour. either way, it didnt really end on a good note.

Last sunday, as me, seagull and Ray were going to funan from suntec. seagull made a rather nasty comment. he commented that ppl who pray to the Monkey God were #$%^&*-ing idiots. well... in his view, those ppl were praying to a frictional character. as for those praying to Guan Di, at least its a historical figure. Ray took offense and seagull was abit taken back.

Ray's stand point was that you shouldnt make that kind of remark on other ppl's belief. hmmm... surprisingly, ray isnt a very religious person. hahahaha he dont pray daily at home like i do. nor does he go to church or other stuff. haiz... maybe one day he'll realize that there is only so much a person, a human, can do. the rest will have to be placed in the hands of higher beings.

Sometimes i think think, how come i can accept christ so easily? and i think i found the cause of it. Dad! its all your fault that i become a christian easily. why? only when i see how much my dad love us (me, ranna, yan) , then i can realise how much God can love us. For he so loved us, that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. Amen!

18th Jan 2009

After some thinking, i decided to start a seperate blog on my religious path, as irin doesn't like to see me blogging about christianity.

Today, pastor prince wasnt ard to preach, so pastor lian took his place.

the first message was about how to locate GOD, what is GOD's address? Through out the course of history, GOD changed address many times. from the Garden of Eden to the Temple of Solomon. but where is GOD currently residing? The answer is GOD is always with us. our address is his address.

So why are ppl still leading such hard lives? becos GOD is allowing us free choice. Only when we asked for him into our situation, then will he help. in thirty-fold, sixty-fold, hundred-fold shall our returns be.

But we must always believe. and have faith. here is a story i heard somewhere.

Once there was this man whom always walked with GOD. wherever he went, looking back at the tracks he made, he always sees 2 set of foot prints. he knows that GOD is with him. then one day, he look over his tracks over the course of his life. he found that when he is most down and out, there is only one set of foot prints.
GOD, why have you abandon me? he asked.
whats wrong, my son? GOD replied.
GOD, why do you always leave me in my hours of need? he cried.
GOD smiled. My son, he said, those were the times when i carried you.

This story touched me deeply. I believe that GOD is always with me. Even when i'm most down, i know that in his hands, i'll be fine. he's helping me always. or rather, if he havent helped me, my situation will be alot worse. Amen.

Another thing that was preached about was something about oil. Jesus passed the bread, the wine and the oil to us, i think, me still a new christian la. Pastor lian had wondered about the oil. what is the oil about? asking some of her friends, a comment she got back was that when you roast a lamb, oil comes out of the fat on the lamb. Jesus had died for us, giving us his body, his blood and then he is crushed and roasted til the oil comes out of him to pass on to us. in that moment, i feel touched and blessed. Amen.
