Psalms 34:6-8
This poor man called, and the LORD heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers them.
Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Fear the LORD, you his saints,
for those who fear him lack nothing.
John 6:48-58
I am the bread of life. Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."
Today's Pastor is Pastor Judah Smith from Seattle. He's a very funny Pastor and his sermon was lively and funny. i think he's the one that Pastor Prince once mentioned asking for tetaraid and Pastor Prince got very confused. later he figured it out. tetaraid = Teh Tarik.
When you see a steak being served to you, how does it look to you? does it look good? If you think about it in another sense, its a chunk of flesh on your plate, though with garnishing and veggies on the side. Its someone's daddy or mummy or baby, you know? but it still look good to you rite? why is that so? does it look good to you because you have tasted it and know it taste good. You need to taste before you know if something is good or not.
Pastor Judah told us about his story with the cheese factory. Before going to the cheese factory, he's only interested in American cheese. you know whats american cheese? it comes in those plastic wrap thingy, and you can put it there for days and it will still be soft and tender. Yes its chemical. its called kraft, short for witchcraft. hahaha
At the end of the 2-hour tour, which they found boring and tedious, they were given the chance to sample the cheese. The factory manager had to keep pushing the cheese to them like a drug dealer, and when Pastor Judah finally tried, all hell or heaven broke loose. he tried all the cheese available, he found the 2 hour tour had been most informative, he wonder where had he been all time without cheese.
Taste and see.
Amen.
